Genesis is a collaboration between Baltimore Sculptors Incorporated, the James L. Pierce Gallery, and Green Spring Station (Foxleigh Management) which began in September 2010. This exhibition consists of outdoor work displayed in open areas throughout this prestigious shopping area. Green Spring Station serves as the north gate to Baltimore’s premier communities. Maps showing the locations of the sculptures are being distributed next to the door to the James L. Pierce Gallery, which is also handling inquiries from prospective buyers.
The exhibition consists of two parts: the first is an eleven-month exhibition of larger outdoor works installed either on cement pads or directly on the ground, which opened September 2010. The second part of the exhibition is mounted within the open interior of the shopping area. A call to replace both the larger outdoor works and interior works has just been issued, juror to be announced.
